Mental death & rebirth

The phrase 'death and rebirth' has many interpretations. Some will think of the literal physical meaning whilst I take it in the more spiritual way. A mental state that you're in which can be, let's say 'labeled'. I am curious if it is something that many people can relate to, or if it's rare.

The death being the state where a person may be going through a bad period in their life wether it's for a day, months or years. The feeling that one can no longer be productive, feeling as if they have no motivation to do anything. That is linked to how the person may perceive themselves. Low self-esteem moments occur as well as the feeling of dissatisfaction of the way you are as a person, your lifestyle or even something as simple as their appearance. In some cases it might be a very serious condition and in some it's a passing stage. The death of the person, mentally.

Now here comes the rebirth part. The rebirth can be seen as coming back to life (not physically but mentally). A person would get a rush of motivation and dedication into completing a goal that they've set after realising that a change is needed. One may be in such a negative stage in their life where nothing seems to be happening as it should and so that having a massive effect on the person, it pushes them into suddenly changing the circumstances. That could be spontaneously, it could be something a person has seen that inspired them and changed their view or something as simple as a YouTube video on the relevant topic. One can notice the change in actions such as sudden exercise, obsessive cleaning, the need to obsessively look good, changing a job etc. The rebirth can be compared to the 'death' in a way that a person is making a massive change in the lifestyle and the circumstances. There's always someone that you know that had a moment in their life where suddenly they started adjusting their lifestyle drastically due to the change that needed to occur. This to some may seem a bit fake, due to the forced actions and trying to make things all good. However I see it in a way the it's the best thing the person could've done if they weren't feeling the best. It's in their best interest to change the lifestyle and try something new which can have a massive effect on them. That is my perception of the rebirth.

This general state that a person can go through continuously (highly depending on their personality) is in my opinion both good and bad. The almost Bipolar state is irregular and the feelings might be overwhelming at times. However the rebirth part of the two stages is great for almost everyone. It gives the person an opportunity to do something differently, try new things which can be life changing. Speaking from my own experience, having to go through these continious ups and downs and regaining that motivation changed my view on the fact that these situations do occur in daily life of others and that I am not the only one.

Ofcourse this won't relate to everyone due to the differences in lifestyles. If you are a person that more or less constantly is averaging the same emotions and regular feelings, you wouldn't relate to Death&Rebirth for obvious reasons.

Me being curious, I wonder how others go through this sort of thing and if one perceives it as a normal, healthy habit. It may seem almost comical and irritable however it's all up to the individual and how they handle the situation.
